Plants

BDF owns the following refrigeration plants:

7 x GRASSO RC 9311

• Grasso RC9311 self contained refrigeration unit
• 12 cylinder compound compressor operating at 965 rpm
• 9 cylinders low stage, 3 cylinders high stage
• Electrical capacity control for unloaded starting - 33%, 66% & 100% full load capacity.
• These units are rated at 261kW (225,000 Kcal/hr) when producing brine at -25°C. They can operate single or double stage below 16°C.

2 x SABROE 128

• Sabroe 128 trailer mounted self contained refrigeration unit
• Screw compressor with UNISAB control
• These units are rated at 128kW (110,000 Kcal/hr) when producing brine at -25°C

The company also holds large quantities of ancillary equipment for both brine and nitrogen ground freezing.
